Job Description

Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Integrations and Solutions Architect to join our growing organization. This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems. This position serves as the primary conduit between the production and Development departments, ensuring seamless communication, alignment of technical objectives, an successful delivery of enterprise capabilities. This role blends systems integration expertise with solution-level architectural guidance, supporting both internal teams and external stakeholders. The Architect is responsible for translating operational needs into actionable technical requirements, fostering user acceptance of new platforms and ensuring that solutions are compatible with the constraints of the production enterprise environment. The position requires a proactive, highly communicative, and personable professional who can engage confidently with customers, vendors, and leadership while providing clear, high-level technical briefings and assessments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to :
  • Translate operational needs and user feedback into structural requirements for development teams.
  • Facilitate alignment on project priorities, timelines and feasibility across departments.
  • Provide technical advice and engineering guidance for next generation planning efforts.
  • Responsible for planning and implementing mission capabilities and transition to enterprise services, virtualized and cloud-based technologies
  • Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems or technology problems.
  • Access enterprise network limitations and design solutions that operate effectively within those constraints .
  • Evaluate new platforms, tools, and technologies for integration into the production environment.
  • Provide architectural guidance to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable and aligned within organizational standards.
  • Engage directly with customers, end users, and stakeholders to gather requirements, validate needs, and ensure solutions adop
  • Foster user acceptance by communicating benefits, addressing concerns, and supporting change-management efforts.
  • Represent the organization in vendor engagements technical discussions, and capability assessments.
  • Deliver High-level technical briefings, capability demonstrations, and status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present assessments, integration plans, and solution recommendations in a clear and concise manner
  • Act as the communication bridge between vendor support teams and customer organizations to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
  • Demonstrate proactive problem-solving and initiative identifying integration challenges and proposing solutions
  • Maintain and operate network and system management software, and other systems such as patch servers, update servers, and storage solutions
  • Provide on-site Tier II and Tier III support for non-SCAMPI Enterprise network infrastructure, while working in conjunction with the Enterprise Network service providers to ensure delivery of Enterprise-wide services. This support shall include all related planning, system architecture, installation, configuration, O&M, documentation, engineering, and CS activities related to network services and enterprise systems
  • Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
  • Provide guidance on engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Decisions throughout full lifecycle
  • Responsible for managing and operation of networks and systems for all environments.
  • Responsible for diagraming and documenting current and future designs.
  • Work with security team on best practices, known risks, and recommendations.
  • Participate in the creation of strategic roadmaps by understanding the needs of our customer and mapping technical objectives to those needs.
  • Create high level reference architecture documentation to meet the technology needs of various stakeholders.
  • Work autonomously to build customized solutions to meet business needs.
  • Sustain the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining existing equipment
  • Work with Cyber Security analysts to ensure Enterprise information systems are secure
  • Ensure effective and efficient operation of enterprise level systems, architecture, and application availability
  • Monitor to ensure operating systems are functioning properly and conform to operation security policies and procedures
  • Assist with the deployment of hardware and applications and ensure appropriate service levels. Includes physical servers, network devices and other hardware essential to data center operations.


Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Knowledge and Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree (CS, CE, CIS, IS, MIS, or engineering discipline) or equivalent work Previous experience developing system models and architectures
  • Hands-on Experience in working with DoD networks, including NIPR, SIPR.
  • Ability to assist with planning and implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the data centers / network
  • Maintain technical expertise in all areas of virtualization, operating systems, and computer hardware / software, etc.
  • Fundamental background in working in the hybrid-cloud environment
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including long-form business writing on complex topics

  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global, distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions.
  • Ability to rapidly gain knowledge of the organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate technical team.
  • Knowledge and experienced in IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.
  • Familiar with solution implementation/management, service/operations management, etc.
  • Maintains close awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application for service offerings and products
  • Current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Secure Compartmented Information (SCI).

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • DoD 8570 Compliant; IAT LVL II Certified: MUST have one of the following:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA+ **
    • CISSP
    • GSEC
    • Security+ CE
    • CND
    • SSCP
