Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure data integration solutions in support of mission critical systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience building scalable ETL pipelines, working with structured and semi structured data, and operating within Department of Defense (DoD) or other regulated environments. This role requires close collaboration with data architects, analysts, system engineers, and cybersecurity teams to ensure data accuracy, security, and performance.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to extract data from multiple source systems, transform it according to business and technical rules, and load it into target data repositories
• Implement and optimize ETL processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and performance
• Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical ETL solutions
• Develop reusable ETL components, frameworks, and automation where possible
• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures, data discrepancies, and performance bottlenecks
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and auditing to ensure compliance with contractual and security requirements
• Document ETL designs, data flows, mappings, and operational procedures
• Support deployment and maintenance of ETL solutions across development, test, and production environments
• Ensure all solutions comply with DoD security standards, STIGs, and cybersecurity best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications
• Active Secret Security Clearance
• CompTIA Security+ Certification (Security+ CE acceptable)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience as an ETL Developer or Data Engineer
• Strong experience with ETL tools and/or frameworks (e.g., Informatica, SSIS, Talend, AWS Glue, Apache NiFi, or similar)
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
• Experience working with data warehouses and data marts
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience supporting systems in secure or regulated environments (DoD, federal, or defense contracting preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with cloud-based ETL solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
• Experience working with API-based data integrations
• Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and lineage
• Prior experience supporting classified or mission systems
