As a LEAD LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Serves as Team Leader responsible for managing a team comprised of three or more COCOM-level GBFDM operational analysts.
- Represents the Single Manager (USTRANSCOM) as the authoritative expert and focal point for global bulk fuel operations supporting CCMDs, Defense Logistics Agency, Military Services, and the Joint Staff.
- Represents and leads the Single Manager's (USTRANSCOM) Global Petroleum Integration Cell (GPIC) for the DoD though synchronization with Joint Staff J4 and HQ DLA Energy.
- Represents USTRANSCOM or Directorate on bulk fuel and logistics-related internal and external governance boards, committees, and meetings to discuss, formulate and/or coordinate strategy, policy and procedures.
- The incumbent is responsible for managing and maintaining accountability of readiness for Headquarters USTRANSCOM and its subordinate commands. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring and analyzing the readiness for the CCMD PICs and the associated service components identifying any significant readiness trends that may impact the global management and delivery of fuel.

- This position is emergency-essential. In the event of a crisis situation, the incumbent, or designated alternate, must continue to perform the Emergency-Essential duties until relieved by proper authority.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
- Interprets military planning, policies, and concepts; peacetime and wartime and bulk petroleum logistics doctrines; organization and planning systems.
- Administers bulk fuel logistics management concepts, policies, methods, and regulatory requirements, especially those that govern bulk fuel logistics support planning and how those plans effect posture decisions and operations.
- Advises on safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
