QA Test Engineer

Blu Omega is seeking QA Test Engineers for our team. These consultants will use appropriate test tools and methodologies to execute functional, integration, and data verification tests.

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of test strategy, test data, test scripts and other release-related artifacts in support of new development, enhancement, operations and maintenance (O&M) releases.
• Identify areas for test automation and use tools such as Selenium.
• Leverage expertise in various testing phases, including functional, integration, data migration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide input into estimates for testing efforts and prioritization of test activities.
• Execute and verify positive and negative test cases and document test results, including comparisons between source and target data and verification of backend services and frontend software.
• Create test reports after completion of tests and document defects found with any information required for a developer to recreate and fix the problem.
• Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability tests.
• Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
• Attention to detail in validating data integrity and user workflows

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as a tester and analyst in hands-on application testing and developing and executing test scripts
• 3+ years of experience in working with entity-relationship diagrams, database schemas, test data, and source to target data verification
• 3+ years of experience with using methods for the verification of Web services, such as Postman or SoapUI
• 3+ year(s) of experience with using database query languages and tools, such as PostgreSQL to cross-verify data in the application with the database
• 3+ years experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium)
• 3+ years hands-on experience with tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools
• Experience with tools like DBeaver, SQL Developer
• Experience working in Agile teams
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
• Bachelor's degree

Nice to Haves:

• Ability to translate functional and data requirements into SQL and write procedures and functions to test complicated data interfaces
• Ability to support automated testing using Selenium, 508 compliance using tools such as WAVE, AMP, and/or NVDA, and usability testing
• Ability to support quality assurance reviews, peer reviews, and reviews of SDLC artifacts
• Experience working with collaboration tools, including Jira and Confluence
• Experience using AI assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) for generating test scripts.
• Knowledge of programming language like Python would be a plus

Salary Range: $125K-$135K
Our final salary offer will be based on several factors, including depth of technical skills, work experience, education, certifications, and clearance
