Job Summary
  • Seeking an Agile Developer to support the modernization of a legacy operational system through the design and development of cloud-native, microservices-based solutions using cutting-edge technologies
  • This role focuses on building scalable, secure, and high-performing applications within an AWS environment, contributing to the transition from monolithic systems to flexible, service-oriented architectures
  • The developer will work within an Agile team to deliver mission-critical capabilities through continuous integration and delivery practices

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Java Spring Boot-based microservices utilizing AWS-native technologies
  • Use Python to support and optimize AWS services, including Lambda, Step Functions, EC2, and S3
  • Design and implement RESTful services capable of processing and filtering complex data objects
  • Support and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Maven, GitLab, and GitOps methodologies
  • Participate in Agile software development, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and iterative delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable software solutions
  • Contribute to system modernization efforts by refactoring legacy components into microservices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues across environments

Required Qualifications
  • Active Top Secret clearance with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph within the last 5 years
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience

Desired Qualifications (Minimum of 2 required)
  • Experience with Java, Spring Boot, or Python
  • Familiarity with JSON Schema
  • Experience working with microservices architectures
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, including AWS tools, Maven, GitLab, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, or Ansible
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), including query development and schema design
  • Experience implementing OAuth/OpenID Connect (OIDC) for authentication and authorization
  • Experience with test automation frameworks, including Cypress or Cucumber

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

80,000 - 120,000 USD per year (NBP)
