Job Summary
  • Seeking a Systems Engineer to be part of a collaborative team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining DevOps infrastructure and services that support multiple product teams
  • This role focuses on enabling automation across build, test, and deployment processes while ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performing cloud-based environments
  • The engineer will work closely with development and operations teams to improve system performance, streamline delivery pipelines, and support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices

Primary Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps infrastructure supporting multiple product teams
  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Build and maintain automation scripts using languages such as Python
  • Install, configure, and optimize Kubernetes environments, with a focus on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
  • Implement and maintain cloud-native logging and monitoring solutions, including Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Develop, manage, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines using GitLab runners and Argo CD for automated build, test, and deployment processes
  • Manage and maintain Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, including services such as EC2, Lambda, EKS, RDS, S3, EFS, and EBS
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues to ensure system uptime and stability
  • Support continuous improvement of DevOps processes, tools, and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical solutions and priorities

Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab
  • Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly EKS
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or similar languages
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Desired Qualifications
  • Experience deploying and managing applications in Kubernetes using Helm charts
  • Familiarity with open-source (FOSS) tools such as PGAdmin and related ecosystem tools
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes storage classes (e.g., GP3, Longhorn, EBS)
  • Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD
  • Understanding of performance tuning and scaling strategies in cloud environments

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The pay range for this role is:

170,000 - 235,000 USD per year (NBP)
