Job Summary: RF Engineer - Lockheed Martin, Andover, MA
About the Role
Join Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) as an RF Engineer and become a valued member of a global leader in advanced technology and aerospace solutions. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and prototype RF circuits, modules, and subsystems from concept to full-rate production
- Tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions for high-reliability applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve design and integration issues throughout the product life cycle
- Provide technical mentorship to less experienced engineers on the team
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems, and circuit design engineers as well as manufacturing and technician support staff
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years of experience (considered an emerging authority)
- Deep expertise in RF design at CCA, subsystem, or module level
- Proficiency in schematic capture, RF block diagram reviews, and circuit card assembly
- Strong experience with microwave test equipment and simulation tools such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, ADS, CST Microwave Studio, HFSS
- Demonstrated skill in troubleshooting and resolving integration issues
- Eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance (interim clearance required before start)
Preferred Skills
- Master's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Active Secret Clearance
- Significant experience in defense electronics
- Advanced knowledge of RF hardware including antennas, transmitters, receivers, amplifiers, mixers, switches, frequency generation/conversion circuits
- Familiarity with 3D electromagnetic simulation tools and microelectronics assembly techniques
- Expertise in technical documentation (specifications, schematics, test data)
- Proven leadership in technical project management
