Job Title: Network Engineer C3 Systems (TESA)
Location: Ramstein AFB, Germany

Job Responsibilities

The C3 Systems Network Engineer performs network design and evaluation, circuit planning, and network operations support to ensure the availability of a network .

• Experience should include but is not limited to Internal routing protocols (OSPF, RIP, EIGRP) External routing protocols (BGP), Quality of Service (QOS) (DSCP, MPLS), Windows 2000 servers providing DNS and DHCP network services, MS Active Directory, VOIP technologies and Cisco Call Manager and Call Manager Express as well as Multimedia services over IP such as H.323 and H.320 video teleconferencing Vantage, Promina, REDCOM, Lucent/Avaya and IA and NETMAN tools such as Netscreen , Fortigate , Cisco Works 2000, HP Open View, and MRTG.

• Shall provide critical RF and IP network engineering knowledge of all connectivity into and out of a theater, to include, reach back connectivity to Regional Hub Nodes and redistribution of services (RF, IP, and Fiber) within the theater.

• Shall provide in theater capabilities that are required to ensure that not only Voice over the SIPR (VOSIP), but all service connectivity is maintained .

• Shall provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve network outages.

• Shall provide quality assurance of installation to terminals and oversee all testing for validation of terminal for operations.

• Shall provide oversight of the satellite transmission plans, bandwidth usage and optimization, and IP network configurations as necessary to ensure the best possible service to the end customer.

• Shall provide other key facets of on-site technical support to include conducting systems testing (e.g. Noise Figure Measurements, Phase Noise), technical guidance, network setup with routers, switches, and IP accelerators, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), VoIP switched infrastructure, Call Manager configuration, system troubleshooting, establishing efficient procedures to resolve trouble tickets, and coordinating the deployment of software release and equipment training .

• Tasks may also include installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the RF/satellite, IP network, and fiber distribution systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• A n Active, in-scope US Government issued Secret clearance (Interim Secret Clearance is acceptable)

• Due to the nature of the work and contract requirements, US Citizenship is required .

• Must have a minimum of four (4) years of IT customer support.

• Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience in a military contingency environment.

• Must have the following required certifications: A+, Network+, Security +

• Able to travel to support mission up to 50%.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , OR an A ssociate's degree plus seven ( 7 ) years of recent specialized experience , OR eleven ( 11 ) years of recent specialized experience.
