Job Description

Overview of position:
FEDITC is seeking a highly proficient Microsoft Power Platform Developer and Data Analytics Specialist to work in Texarkana TX. This contractor will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying bespoke solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI. The core objective of this role is to take complex data sets from our internal Depot Information Visualization Solution (DIVs) and transform them into intuitive, interactive, and insightful reports. These solutions will be seamlessly integrated into our SharePoint ecosystem to provide users with on-demand access to critical information, fostering a data-driven culture throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate possesses a deep technical understanding of the Power Platform, coupled with a strong analytical mindset. They must be adept at navigating complex technical challenges and capable of delivering robust solutions under pressure and within accelerated timelines. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team to achieve project objectives.

A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:
The contractor will be responsible for the full development lifecycle of data-driven applications and reports. Key responsibilities include:

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design:
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, analyze, and define business requirements for reporting and application development.
Translate business needs into detailed technical specifications and architectural designs for Power Platform solutions.
Design data models and structures to effectively support reporting and analytical requirements.
Application & Workflow Development:
Develop custom, user-friendly canvas and model-driven applications using Microsoft Power Apps to streamline business processes and improve data interaction.
Build sophisticated, automated workflows using Power Automate to connect various data sources, reduce manual effort, and ensure data integrity.
Write and maintain clean, efficient, and scalable code and formulas within the Power Platform environment.
Data Visualization & Reporting:
Extract, transform, and load data from the Depot Information Visualization Solution (DIVs) and other relevant sources into Power BI.
Develop compelling, interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI that provide clear, actionable insights and track key performance indicators.
Implement row-level security and data governance best practices within Power BI to ensure data is appropriately managed.
Integration & Deployment:
Integrate the developed Power Apps, Power BI reports, and automated workflows into the organization’s SharePoint environment, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
Manage the deployment of solutions across development, testing, and production environments.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of all solutions to ensure high quality and reliability.
Maintenance & Support:
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for deployed solutions.
Perform regular maintenance, updates, and enhancements to existing applications and reports based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions.

Required Qualifications:
Technical Expertise: Extensive, hands-on experience in developing and deploying solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate). A strong portfolio of past projects is highly desirable.
Data Analytics: Proven ability in data analytics, including data modeling, data cleansing, and transformation.
Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data manipulation and analysis.
SharePoint Integration: Experience integrating Power Platform solutions within a SharePoint (Online/On-Premises) environment.
Advanced Problem-Solving: A demonstrated ability to approach complex challenges with an analytical mindset. Must be capable of diagnosing and resolving intricate technical issues effectively, especially under high-pressure conditions and with condensed timelines.
Team Collaboration: A proven team player who thrives in a collaborative environment, is open to feedback, and is willing to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Adaptability & Resilience: Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and technologies. Must remain resilient and focused when faced with unexpected obstacles or tight deadlines.

Preferred but Not Required:
Database Experience: Working knowledge of and experience with SQL and/or Oracle databases, including writing queries and understanding database structures.
Scripting Knowledge: Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or JavaScript for extending platform capabilities.
UI/UX Principles: A solid understanding of user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design principles to create intuitive and effective applications.
Strong Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. The candidate must be able to clearly articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Initiative & Ownership: A self-starter who takes ownership of their work from conception to completion and proactively seeks opportunities for improvement and innovation.

Certifications:
CompTIA Security+

Clearance:
Active Secret clearance is required.
Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
