Role Summary
Due to ongoing strategic growth and the need to advance their data integration capabilities, the organization is seeking a talented Data Products Manager for Government Parts. This pivotal role is designed to enhance the organization’s ability to seamlessly map, prioritize, and coordinate the integration of government data systems into their core platform. As a key member of the Data Product & Operations team, you will have a direct impact on shaping how critical data informs decision-making within the defense sector. Responsibilities
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive road map for integrating government data systems, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and future expansion plans.
• Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and customer engagement teams to understand and document the capabilities and requirements of critical government data sources.
• Identify overlaps and gaps within existing data coverage, recommending action plans to address areas for enhancement.
• Conduct technical customer engagements to gather in-depth insights on data systems and their application.
• Partner with security and compliance teams to establish standard procedures for data access, governance, and security protocols.
• Document and communicate system capabilities, limitations, and integration strategies clearly across technical and non-technical audiences.
Essential Skills & Experience
• A solid academic background in Product Management, Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Minimum of four year's experience working directly with government data systems.
• Proven proficiency with SQL, Python, or similar programming languages.
• Outstanding communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts in a straightforward manner.
• Strong analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving prowess.
• Hands-on experience interacting with government clients and understanding user needs within governmental contexts.
• Familiarity with data security, governance frameworks, and technical documentation within regulated environments.
• Experience working on data projects in dynamic or entrepreneurial settings is advantageous.
• Current or the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.
Desirable Skills & Experience
• Experience with AI technologies, particularly Generative AI tools.
• Knowledge of defense acquisition processes and familiarity with data systems such as JUPITER, ADVANA, or BLADE.
• Background in managing data-related initiatives and projects
• Experience in or exposure to the dynamics and fast-paced environment of a startup or entrepreneurial setting
• Understanding of or hands-on experience with Defense Logistics Agency
