Lockheed Martin Space is hiring a Senior Manager - FBM Ground Test to support the FBM Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) Directorate.
The Senior Manager - FBM Ground Test will report directly to the Director of Systems Engineering and will support both the LE2 and LE FBM programs.
In this role, you will:
• Own the technical management, cost and schedule planning, risk mitigation, and resource alignment for all missile system ground test activities across the Titusville, FL and Denver, CO sites.
• Develop and maintain program baselines, lead staffing and competency development plans, and communicate status, risks, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership, external vendors, and government customers.
• Coordinate closely with the broader SEIT organization to ensure that each system level ground test programs are met on time and within budget.
Groups the leader will be responsible for:
• Systems level Ground Test
o Planning, execution, and data collection for integrated electrical, mechanical, electromagnetic, environmental, and survivability test events.
o Coordination of test facilities, test assets, and personnel to meet program milestones at both sites.
o Development and maintenance of cost, schedule, and risk baselines for all ground test projects.
• Missile Integration Laboratory's (MIL)
o Management of the world class laboratory that provides system level functional testing, electromagnetic testing, and end to end missile flight simulation.
o Oversight of test equipment calibration, test setup configuration, and data analysis processes.
o Alignment of MIL resources with the needs of the LE2 and LE FBM programs.
• Mock up and Hardware Re qualification
o Direction of missile mock up activities, ensuring realistic test environments and accurate representation of flight hardware.
o Management of hardware re qualification requirements triggered by supplier changes, design revisions, or manufacturing process updates.
• Evaluations Program
o Leadership of Service Life Evaluation (SLE), Production Assessment Test (PAT), and Destruct System Evaluation Program (DSEP).
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrated engineering leadership experience
• Experience in the application of System Engineering processes and disciplines, and demonstrated experience in leading a Systems Engineering and/or a Test organization
• Experience communicating, both internally with peers and Program leadership as well as externally with customer counterparts.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage organizational budgets and schedules.
• The candidate must have a Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Ability to plan strategically and translate these strategies into daily, weekly and monthly tactical actions and tasks.
• Proven track record of effective customer coordination and collaboration
• Ability to multitask effectively and support ongoing technical investigations and initiatives simultaneously
• Demonstrates Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives
• Knowledge of the FBM program and Trident II (D5) Missile System.
• Familiar with the Navy SSP customer.
• Experience in Systems level ground test planning and execution.
• Ability to motivate and energize a team.
• CAM certified.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
