Description:We are Lockheed Martin
Supporting Flight Test as a Subsystem/ECS Discipline Engineer, the selected candidate will initially work under the guidance of the team with the goal of quickly becoming an independent subject matter expert for mission control room operations.
A successful candidate will use their technical experience to develop innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems. Duties and responsibilities include planning, scheduling and executing flight test missions by:
- Developing and publishing test plans and flight test cards
- Determining and communicating test requirements and configuration to responsible engineering, maintenance, instrumentation and flight operation personnel to ensure test article readiness
- Complying with test safety plans and standard operation procedures
- Participate in test mission briefings, debriefings, and the test missions. Must be able to meet mission qualification requirements.
**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**
This position requires travel 50% of the time to an alternate location.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, science, or technology discipline
Proven flight testing and mission control room experience working with multi-functional test team disciplines.
Desired Skills:
Developmental Flight Test Experience.
Experience with the design and execution of test plans to evaluate aircraft performance, systems, and safety during development stages.
Ability to analyze flight data, identify anomalies, and provide technical recommendations to ensure regulatory compliance and improve aircraft functionality.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to brief test results to executive leadership.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Top Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
