The Work
As a Senior Structural Analyst on the Launchers Engineering Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the structural integrity and performance of launcher components and assemblies.
Your work will include:
Performing structural, shock, vibration, and non-linear (dynamic) analyses of launcher systems.
Conducting finite element and classical stress analysis on launcher components, subassemblies, and integrated systems.
Supporting design development through part sizing, fatigue/fracture assessments, and trade studies.
Analyzing composite and metallic materials used in launcher structures.
Additional responsibilities:
Supporting system-level and component-level testing, including test planning and correlation with analytical models.
Developing and presenting stress, structural, and fracture analysis reports.
Investigating hardware discrepancies during fabrication, assembly, and integration of launcher systems.
Collaborating closely with design, manufacturing, and test teams to resolve technical issues.
Assisting in the development of test concepts, instrumentation layouts, and data acquisition plans.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
What you will need:
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace or Civil Engineering with 5 years professional related experience or Masters degree and 3 years professional related experience
• Ability to obtain & maintain a security clearance at the SECRET level (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Professional (post-graduation) engineering experience in structural analysis
• Applied experience in structural analysis models and solvers, with ANSYS and FEMAP/NASTRAN strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines
• Understanding of loads and dynamics analysis
• Working knowledge of structural dynamic methods or testing
• Static, vibration, acoustic, modal, or shock analysis/test experience
Desired Skills:
What will set you apart:
• Experience in creating and reviewing designs in CAD tools (CREO preferred)
• Experience working missile and launch systems for DoD customers
• Experience performing static and dynamic analyses to include inertial, pressure, vibration, and shock loading
• Experience defining and supporting static, vibration, acoustic, modal and shock testing and model correlation
• Experience supporting both hardware development and production environments
• Familiarity with Military Standards associated with DOD, US Navy, or Launcher/Weapon System development

The base range for this position in New Jersey is $75,000 - $142,760.
