Job Description
GENERAL DUTIES:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
CLEARANCE:
- SCIF Operations Management
- Open and close Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) as necessary, in coordination with the SSO Physical and Personnel Security Managers and designated Points of Contact (POCs).
- Ensure SCIF access procedures are followed and documented accurately.
- Personnel Security Clearance Lifecycle Management
- Manage all aspects of personnel security clearances under the cognizance of the SSO.
- Prepare and submit initial investigation packages for security clearances.
- Monitor and provide regular updates on the status of security clearances.
- Access Control and Nominations
- Process access nominations and ensure personnel are cleared for SCI access.
- Manage SCI indoctrination and debriefing procedures, ensuring proper documentation.
- Visit Certifications
- Send and receive visit certifications for personnel requiring temporary access to other secure facilities.
- Event SCI Security Management
- Oversee SCI security protocols during events, ensuring compliance with security requirements.
- Reportable Information Processing
- Process and manage reportable information related to personnel security, such as changes in status, foreign contacts, or incidents.
- Ensure timely reporting and documentation in accordance with applicable regulations.
- File Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel security files and records.
- Ensure all documentation related to personnel security is filed securely and retrievable when needed.
- Security Inspections
- Participate in security inspections and audits to ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures.
- Surge Support
- Provide additional support to other SCI security disciplines during peak workloads or special projects.
- Process Improvement
- Offer guidance, recommendations, and assistance with implementing process improvements for personnel security procedures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency in security operations.
- Compliance and Guidance
- Provide personnel with guidance on SCI security policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable security regulations and directives.
- Access Control Oversight
- Oversee access control procedures within SCIF workspaces to ensure only authorized personnel are granted entry.
- General Security Support
- Perform additional security management tasks as assigned by the SSO or other security managers.
- Support the overall mission of the J2 Special Security Office with a focus on maintaining secure operations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1 year of experience with managing personnel security aspects of the SCI security clearance lifecycle from initial investigation, adjudication, access nomination, indoctrination, reinvestigation/deferral, debriefing, self/managed reporting and have full understanding of Trusted Workforce 2.0 framework and implementation.
- 6 months of experience with personnel security reporting requirements within applicable national, intelligence community and Department of Defense policy.
- High School diploma or GED
- Certification Requirements:
- CDSE Introduction to Personnel Security PS113.16
- CDSE Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information (PII) DS-IF101.06.
CLEARANCE:
- Top Secret minimum with SCI eligibility
