Role Summary
Support EMI/EMC analysis, design, and testing for spaceflight avionics. Work within the Electronics & Electrical Engineering Section and contribute to test execution, design reviews, and compliance activities for mission‑critical spacecraft hardware.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and analyze EMI/EMC tests
Develop test plans, procedures, and reports.
Support design reviews, risk assessments, and system integration across avionics, RF, power, and mechanical teams.
Apply MIL‑STD‑461 and other NASA/industry standards.
Gain hands‑on experience with EMI/EMC test equipment and circuit design reviews.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Physics; typically 5–15 years of related experience.
Coursework or experience in EM fields or electronic design.
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and professional.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in a related field.
Experience with EMI/EMC design, testing, and mitigation for space, military, or commercial systems.
Knowledge of MIL‑STD‑461/464 and EMI/EMC compliance methods.
Hands‑on experience with EMI/EMC lab equipment and electronic test hardware.
Understanding of RF design, shielding, filtering, grounding, and EMC phenomena.
Experience reviewing schematics, PCB layouts, and mechanical designs.
Background in spacecraft or satellite systems.
Ability to write EMI/EMC test plans and reports.
iNARTE certification preferred.
Familiarity with SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, Mathcad, LabVIEW, or similar tools.
Experience with EMI/EMC Control Plans, verification, and MIL‑STD test result analysis.
Proficiency with MS Office tools.
