Northrop Grumman is looking for a Program Planning Scheduling Analyst 2 to prepare, develop and coordinate the integrated master plan and integrated master schedule to meet all program objectives. Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are horizontally and vertically integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality. Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas.
Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain the Integrated Master Plan (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to meet program objectives.
• Ensure schedules are integrated across engineering, manufacturing, materials, and finance, conducting critical path analysis and network logic validation.
• Implement industry standards such as DCMA 14-point analysis, Earned Value Management (EVM), and Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
• Utilize tools like Microsoft Project, Open Plan, or Primavera P6 to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and suggest corrective actions.
• Support Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) and prepare weekly/monthly status reports for management Basic Qualifications for Administrative Functional Support 1:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work collaboratively within a team.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst 2:
• Proven experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Project.
• Understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) principles and reporting.
• Active, in-scope DoD Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain one), often required to start.
• Experience within the defense or aerospace industry.
Preferred Qualifications for Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst 2:
• Previous experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry.
• Experience in Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), Critical Path Analysis, and knowledge of DCMA 14-point health metrics.
• Deep understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) guidelines, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) development, and Material Cost Management.
