Job Description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Sustainment Integrated Product Support (IPS) Lead to support a Space Systems Command (SSC) Program Management Office (PMO) located at Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), CO. We conduct operations and sustainment (O&S) activities for state-of-the-art Military and Commercial Satellite Communications (SATCOM) and Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3) systems, providing global secure, survivable and protected communications for our Nation's warfighters.

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and effective leader for a front-facing role with the government customer to effectively lead the extremely talented Sustainment IPS Section, supporting legacy and transitioning strategic and tactical space-based telecommunication capabilities. The ideal candidate will lead and manage the overall IPS contractor effort for Protected Band and Wideband MILSATCOM systems that includes Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF), Enhanced Polar System (EPS), Global Broadcast Service (GBS), Air Force/Army Anti-jam Modem (A3M) and Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) as part of the MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration & Test (MSEIT) contract. Join our high-functioning, high-performing MSEIT Sustainment Integrated Product Team (IPT) and be an important part of directly and positively affecting Joint and Allied warfighter readiness as they employ MILSATCOM and NC3 space systems, terminals and software applications worldwide during full spectrum military operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Work closely with government Division Chiefs, Program Managers (PM) & Lead Engineers (LE) to establish/deliver/maintain high customer satisfaction through unparalleled excellence

• Establish and maintain collaborative, productive and effective cross-functional relationships with the government customer, prime contractors, other service-related contracting efforts and within MSEIT Sustainment IPT

• Maintain the highest level of integrity while treating all stakeholders (government, industry and corporate) with dignity and respect

• Provide weapon system product support services to the government customer across the 12 DoW Product Support Elements: Product Support Management, Design Interface, Facilities & Infrastructure, Information Technology (IT) Systems Continuous Support, Maintenance Planning & Management, Manpower & Personnel, Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation (PHS&T), Supply Support, Support Equipment, Sustaining Engineering, Technical Data and Training & Training Support

• Support the implementation of a comprehensive Product Support Strategy (PSS) within the associated Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP); ensure the LCSP is informed by appropriate analysis (including predictive analysis) to improve material Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM), increase Operational Availability (Ao) and reduce costs

• Realize programmatic and technical opportunities that maximize best value and favorable, long-term outcomes to the Joint and Allied warfighting community

• Travel: Up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government customer direction

Qualifications:

Required:

• Possess an active SECRET clearance; ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA), Logistics Management or similar degree from a 4-year accredited university

• Minimum 20 years' related experience in USAF/USSF Space Operations/Acquisition/Logistics or relevant commercial field

• Minimum 20 years' experience leading projects, including providing technical direction to personnel

• Minimum 15 years' experience of autonomous work with customers to define and develop operational/technical projects

• Demonstrated ability to effectively engage both government and corporate stakeholders to produce outstanding results

• Superb leadership & management skills in a cross-functional, collaborative environment; embraces and facilitates teamwork

• Senior-level critical thinking and problem solving skills that translate to tangible, positive, mission-focused results

• Strong working understanding of DoW's 12 Product Support Elements

• Knowledge of Program Management (PM) principles preferably associated with major ACAT/MDAP systems/capabilities

• Excellent competence in writing and communication including Microsoft Office 365 applications

Preferred:

• Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Logistics Management

• Minimum 25 years' related experience in USAF/USSF Space Operations/Acquisition/Logistics or relevant commercial field

• Minimum 25 years' experience leading projects, including providing technical direction to personnel

• Minimum 20 years' experience of autonomous work with customers to define and develop operational/technical projects

• Minimum 5 years' Space Operations systems life cycle management

• Minimum 5 years' experience in MILSATCOM (operations, logistics, maintenance and/or acquisitions)

• Certified PMI PMP or DAU Level III PM

• Certified INCOSE CSEP/ESEP or DAU Level III SE

• Air Force electronic publications - expert

• Air Force Technical Manual Specifications and Standards - expert

• Air Force Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) - expert

• Air Force Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS) - expert

• Air Force Records Information Management System (AFRIMS) - knowledgeable

• Air Force Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS) - knowledgeable

• Satellite Operations - knowledgeable

• Operation of the Defense Acquisition System - knowledgeable

• Sustaining Engineering/SEIT principles for hardware and software - knowledgeable

This position is 100% onsite at Peterson Space Force Base's (PSFB), Product Support Facility (PSF) given mission requirements and is not eligible for formal hybrid or full remote employment options.

Compensation: The pay range for this position in Colorado is $128,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
