- You will conduct investigations of suspected violations of criminal and civil regulations.
- You will issue permits to authorized individuals for access to designated areas for the purpose of hunting, fishing, trapping and other authorized dispersed outdoor activities using permit sales and recreation access management services system.
- You will respond to reported violations and take independent and appropriate action to apprehend, detain, and charge suspects or secure the violated site for further investigation.
- You will use proper and legal techniques to investigate violations of state and federal wildlife laws/installation regulations.
- You will make reports that include investigative material, witness statements, pictures and other information essential to a professional investigation.

- You must meet the qualifications and be certified to carry a firearm. You will need to maintain firearm proficiency.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. You will be required to sign a DD-Form-2760, Qualification to possess firearms or ammunition.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, shifts, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- You must be able to obtain certification as a Conservation Law Enforcement Officer from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center within two years from hire date.
- You must be able to swim and must pass the North Carolina Hunter Education instructor course.

- I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR
- I have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree OR
- I have successfully completed an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position OR
- I have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent
