Job Description

Job Title: Cyber Threat Analyst
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Duration: 6 Months


Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Threat Analyst to join our team. This role involves supporting discussions with stakeholders about current cyber threats, working with threat modeling specialists, and developing tailored threat models within the ITOT space.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in cyber threat analysis.
  • Degree or diploma in information systems, information security, physical security, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in physical security, preferably law enforcement or military experience.
  • Basic knowledge of various IT systems, including IP transport, security appliances, application frameworks, and monitoring systems.
  • Basic knowledge of contemporary modeling frameworks.
  • Ability to work on and continuously deliver on numerous competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced Reliability Check (ERC) minimum; GoC security clearance would be an asset.
  • Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support liaison discussions with stakeholders regarding current cyber threats that may affect customer systems or business operations.
  • Work with Threat Modeling Specialist to differentiate the likelihood and impact of cyber-attacks within both OTICS environments and the corporate network environment.
  • Conduct threat modeling activities to map out a given environment, identify critical nodes and associated attack paths, and propose defensive strategies.
  • Develop tailored threat models within the ITOT space, focusing on field sites, SCADA, and tier 12 support applications.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with related stakeholders in operations both within and outside of security.
