Job Description

The Red Gate Group is seeking a Policy Analyst to support anticipated programming with the Department of War (DoW). This opportunity will provide program support, policy support, and technical assistance services to support Counterdrug (CD)/Counter-Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC)/Counter-Threat Finance (CTF) mission needs of the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), The Joint Staff, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Military Departments, and Defense Agencies.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

  • Assess changes in the international political-military environment and their potential impact on DoD and USG efforts to counter global drug trafficking and other illicit threat networks affecting U.S. national security.
  • Advise USG decision-makers on how current or proposed international agreements, military sales, and security cooperation activities affect CD/CTOC/CTF policies and programs.
  • Analyze national security policy issues tied to DoD support of National Drug Control Program goals, identify stakeholder interests, and support development of coordinated CD/CTOC/CTF programs across OSD, Joint Staff, CCMDs, Military Departments, Defense Agencies, the Intelligence Community, other USG departments, and U.S./foreign law enforcement.
  • Provide decision-support to ODASD (CN&SP) and USG personnel by evaluating CCMD and Defense Agency CD/CTOC/CTF programs and recommending investments or program changes aligned with USG guidance.


Requirements
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI Eligibiity
  • Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a relevant field of study .
  • Ten (10) years' experience providing services to senior general/flag officer ranks and/or SES levels within the DoW , other government agencies, or industry corporate equivalents, and will be expected to perform at the level of a mid-range GS-15 equivalent.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to translate highly technical information into plain language for effective communication with Do W and other USG staff in the performance of all duties, tasks and services .
