Job Description

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mid-Level Help Desk Specialist to join our team in the Chandler, Arizona area.

As a Mid-Level Help Desk Specialist, this individual will provide vital technical support for government desktop systems and applications. You will apply your knowledge and expertise to manage and support TSA IT end user resources and service requests enabling personnel to perform their essential duties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide phone, collaboration remote tools, and in-person advanced technical support for desktop hardware, software, and peripheral devices to government end-users
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and service requests, both remotely and on-site at the lowest level possible and escalate according to policy and processes
  • Provide resolutions for out of the ordinary issues, supporting more complex IT issues resolution
  • Assist with hardware and software installations, moves, additions, changes, configurations, and system upgrades
  • Maintain accurate records of all support activities in the ticketing system.
  • Educate users on IT best practices and adherence to government IT policies.


Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience
  • 8570/8140 respective certification
  • Experience in a desktop support role within a government or corporate environment.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, PC operating systems, network operating systems, and common business applications.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications
  • ITIL Foundation certification


Clearance Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain DHS EOD suitability
  • An active EOD suitability is highly desired.


Physical Requirements:
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
