Description:You will be the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief), for the Aircraft Maintenance team which is responsible for keeping F-35 aircraft flight-ready at our facility. This position is located at Luke AFB, AZ.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Aircraft Mechanic (Crew Chief), you will be responsible for delivering safe, mission-critical aircraft through comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and team leadership.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Perform maintenance, repair, launch, and recovery activities on Partner and Foreign Military Sales F-35 aircraft.
- Execute field-level modifications and Time Compliance Technical Data (TCTD) maintenance actions.
- Assign tasks and provide on-the-job training to team members and partner maintenance personnel.
- Maintain and update aircraft records in the ALIS/CMMS system and keep production staff informed of aircraft status.

Further Information About This Opportunity:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start. Candidate must have the ability to work first, second, or third shift and deploy on short-notice temporary-duty assignments as required.
Physical Requirements:
This may include certain military required health screenings and immunizations. This position regularly requires to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist. Confined Space Entry. Position may also require extended work hours.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have 24 months of hands-on flightline F-35
maintenance experience to include working
knowledge of Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) to include:
- Anomaly Fault Resolution System (AFRS)
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Joint Technical Data (JTD) Navigation
- Portable Maintenance Aid (PMA) and Maintenance
- Vehicle Interface (MVI) activities
- Configuration Management
- Forms Documentation
- Supply Chain Management (SCM) activities
- Requires minimum of 4 years hands-on working
experience in 5 or 7-skill level USAF AFSC,
CDI/CDQAR Navy NEC, US Army Aviation MOS or
CDI/CDQAR United States Marine Corps, or
equivalent on Fighter/Attack Helicopter aircraft.
- Knowledge of Safety, Tool Control, Foreign
Object damage (FOD), Supply, Hazardous
Material (HAZMAT), Quality, and Security
programs.
Desired Skills:
- Valid US Passport.
- FAA aircraft and Power Plant Mechanic license.
- Experience in the Nose-to-Tail maintenance
concept.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of
USAF 21-101 and 00-20-1 maintenance
publications as well as DCMA Instruction 8210,
and AS9110 Standards.
- Experience as an On-The-Job trainer.
- Good communication skills.
- Engine Run Certification, combat avionics
systems, fighter aircraft crew escape systems
(i.e. canopy and ejection seat), experience in
fighter weapons loading, experience in structural
repairs and low observable system maintenance
are highly desirable.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years
