Job Description

Duties

As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0346-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Serve as the senior joint petroleum enterprise exercise planning analyst for USTRANSCOM Global Bulk Fuel Management and Delivery Division on behalf of the Single Manager (CDR, USTRANSCOM).
  • Analyze the Command's Joint Mission Essential Tasks and Commander's Training Guidance to design and develop exercise constructs and scenarios to meet the JPE needs and capability gaps.
  • Serve as the Single Manager's (USTRANSCOM) senior joint petroleum enterprise exercise planning analyst for JPE Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) exercise coordination across the Department of Defense.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all global bulk fuels equities in the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) during exercise execution.
  • Assist with the drafting, review and analysis of the JPE's readiness assessments for the USTRANSCOM J3, and J5/4 Directorates, USTRANSCOM Commander, its subordinate commands, CCMD PICs and associated service components in accordance with the provision of Title 10 U.S. Code, Section 117.

  • This position is Mission Essential.
Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
  • Coordinating and synchronizing exercises and planning for Global Bulk Fuel Management, Delivery and Distribution.
  • Ensuring training requirements and exercise objectives are applied to all exercise scenarios, including those that are partnered with other Combatant Commands and external agencies.
  • Developing, scheduling, and conducting after action reviews/hotwashes after the completion of exercises.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
