Job Description
FWI is building a team to provide comprehensive administrative support services to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division, enabling technical staff across multiple departments to focus on the Navy's core independent assessment mission. As an Administrative Assistant, you will serve as the primary administrative point of contact for your assigned department, managing day-to-day office operations including correspondence, timekeeping, travel coordination, records management, and classified material handling.

Pay Range

Work Schedule and Location: On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at MCAS Cherry Point, Havelock, NC 28533.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily office operations including filing, word processing, mail distribution, and reception duties
- Handle and safeguard classified materials up to the SECRET level per DoD Manual 5200.01
- Screen phone calls, correspondence, and visitors; provide telephone coverage Monday-Friday, 0800-1600
- Coordinate meetings and events, including preparation of agendas, briefing materials, and security clearances
- Proofread, format, and edit official correspondence per Navy standards; prepare meeting minutes and track action items
- Enter and review Government employee timekeeping data in Navy ERP
- Arrange travel including reservations, authorizations, and travel claims per Joint Travel Regulations
- Process shipping and supply requests in Navy ERP
- Maintain records including time/leave logs, equipment listings, and correspondence controls per Navy records management policy
- Assist with building representative, fire warden, and facility maintenance coordination
- Support data entry for reports, charts, and metrics
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum 1 year of administrative experience (2 years preferred)
- Active Secret level security clearance
