Cabling Support Manager

CyberCore is looking for a Cabling Support Manager.

• Assists in the Management of projects of varying sizes.
• Typically reports to a Cabling Group Manager.

• Meets project completion schedules, labor, and material cost budgets.
• Responsible for managing multiple Cabling Managers on different projects and/or one large program.
• Ensures the quality of workmanship, safety, and documentation per project. Performs at least one quality and Safety Coaching Observation on each project bi-weekly.
• Initiates disciplinary actions for those employees working directly under the Cabling Manager.
• Responsible for identifying and initiating work-around procedures, and working with Cabling Manager and Cabling Supervisors to assist in maintaining crew productivity during delays caused by other trades, customers, material delays, absenteeism, etc., in conjunction with the project schedule.
• Responsible for effectively managing a project of approximately 30 - 70 hourly and management personnel with little or no direction from the Cabling Supervisor.
• Able to interface regularly with the Client, Architect, Cabling Engineer, or Cabling Draftsman on contractual, financial, cost, scheduling, technical, or any other area related to the project(s) under the Cabling Manager's supervision.
• Responsible for the development of detailed status reports containing financial results, physical progress, productivity, change in scope, and other issues as they pertain to the project(s) under the Cabling Supervisor's direction.
• Responsible for contract agreements and negotiations with potential subcontractors or minority vendors.
• Constantly monitors project(s) for P&L margins to meet or exceed estimates.
• Directs multiple Cabling Managers in realizing changes to the scope of work, and the documentation and approval of change orders. Reports, coordinates, and supervises all aspects of a project.
• Exhibits a superior ability to work independently, performing site surveys for estimates, proposal preparation, or quality assurance. Provides documentation, reports, and information to the Cabling Supervisor as requested.
• Initiates and monitors installation standards, as well as technical and supervisory training sessions (on-the-job training) for other Technicians and junior crew members.
• Assures and enforces a comprehensive safety program in accordance with the company's commitment to provide each employee with a safe and healthy work environment.
• Furthers oneself through an ongoing education and certifications, including but not limited to corporate or specialty courses.

Required Skills

• Shall have fourteen (14) years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education.
• A master's degree is equivalent to 6 years of experience, a bachelor's degree is equivalent to 4 years of experience, and an associate's degree is equivalent to 2 years of experience.
• The degree must be in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management.
• Has a thorough working knowledge of reading RFP's, blueprints, specifications, contractual language, and project scheduling (Microsoft Project) and system documentation.
• Familiar with Microsoft applications, Internet, P&L tracking reports, ability to estimate scheduling of material and man-hours.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Must be able to effectively develop a detailed Statement of Work and estimates.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required

The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $95,000. This range is a good-faith estimate that reflects various experience levels. At CyberCore, we consider multiple factors when determining compensation, including the specific role and its responsibilities, the candidate's professional experience, geographic location, education, and relevant skills. This range is not a guarantee of salary, as final compensation may also be influenced by contractual requirements and other considerations.
