DHS or TS Cleared AI Solutions Architect

Role Overview

Zachary Piper is seeking a Senior technical AI Architect responsible for designing, building, and deploying AI solutions that support homeland security mission requirements. This role integrates machine learning, NLP, and data engineering with secure, scalable system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture and govern AI/ML and platform technologies to ensure scalability, security, and production readiness.
• Lead technical design, development, and implementation of an agent-based AI system for enterprise data orchestration.
• Work with development, DevOps, and data engineering teams to translate requirements into scalable AI architectures.
• Develop AI strategies aligned with mission and business objectives.
• Lead proofs of concept to evaluate emerging technologies.
• Assess and select AI tools, frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google).

Qualifications

• Active Top-Secret or DHS Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years delivering AI solutions for federal agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Data Science.
• Deep expertise in ML, deep learning, NLP, and neural networks.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Ability to identify high-value AI use cases and define technical requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, AI agents, LLMs, reinforcement learning, and computer vision.
• Proficiency across cloud and engineering tools: AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Linux, SageMaker, Vertex AI, Bedrock, Gemini.
• Strong Python, agent frameworks, data engineering, APIs/microservices, vector databases, SQL engines, distributed systems, and RAG.
• Experience developing AI/ML roadmaps, conducting AoAs, and making technical tradeoff decisions.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present to varied stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating AI with SaaS/PaaS platforms (ServiceNow, Salesforce).
• Experience implementing virtual agents (ServiceNow Virtual Agent, Salesforce Agentforce).
• Experience with Google Gemini.

Compensation

· Salary Range: $120,000 - $170,000

· Benefits: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), Sick Leave (As required by law)
