Job Description
Markon is seeking a IT Project Manager / Requirements Business Analyst supporting our Virginia Customer in Herndon, VA. This role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with business objectives and support successful delivery within an agile environment.

Responsibilities
Business Requirements Gathering
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand objectives, processes, and functional needs.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions to elicit detailed requirements.
- Document current and future state workflows, business rules, and process gaps.
Requirements Analysis & Documentation
- Analyze, validate, and prioritize business requirements for feasibility and alignment.
- Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Agile Delivery Support
- Collaborate with Product Owners to refine and manage the product backlog.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and requirement walkthroughs.
- Provide clarification to development and QA teams during design, build, and testing phases.
Stakeholder Communication
- Serve as a liaison between business teams and technical teams.
- Facilitate discussions to ensure shared understanding of requirements and solution scope.
- Communicate changes, impacts, and decisions effectively to all stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance requirement‑gathering processes and documentation standards.
- Contribute to improving agile practices and team collaboration.
Qualifications
Required
- An active TS/SCI with a Lifestyle Polygraph is required to be considered.
- 4-8 years of Experience as a Business Analyst, Requirements Analyst, Agile PM, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of requirements elicitation and documentation techniques.
- Proven ability to write clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Desired
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or similar platforms.
- A recent Agile certification (such as SAFe)
- Background in software development or digital product delivery.
- Knowledge of process modeling methodologies and tools (i.e. Vizio).
- Knowledge/Experience in application platforms such as Salesforce or ServiceNow
