TPSA has several test engineering positions available in support of the Naval Air Station North Island, San Diego, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engineer experienced with testing and/or integration on the Navy’s Family of Testers (FoT) eCASS, RTCASS and CASS or equivalent experience. Must support the management, acquisition and development phases of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Operational Test Program Sets (OTPSs) that ultimately leads to the approval / acceptance of TPS hardware, software, and data end products.
ENGINEERING DUTIES:
• Provide technical evaluations and support associated with the acceptance testing of developed SE hardware (HW) / software (SW) and system integration activities associated with the ATE/OTPS system migration at Naval Aviation Depot Level of Repair (NAVDLR) facilities. Activities may include the review of test plans, test procedures, monitoring the acceptance process, review of reliability/maintainability capabilities, etc. Provide recommendations and/or reports as necessary.
• Perform a Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), a transportability demonstration, and a Physical Configuration Audit (PCA). The FCA will include Design Verification Test (DVT), a safety demonstration, an Integration Logbook review, and a Test Program Documentation review.
• Perform analysis of aircraft avionic systems data and determine the compatibility / feasibility of testing and repairing of these systems with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and associated Test Program Sets (TPS).
• Support the development of the TPS Acquisition Documentation to include the Statement of Work (SOW), Contract Data Item Descriptions (CDRLs) and associated Contract Attachments.
• Support the development of the TPS specifications and requirements and evaluate contractor TPS design / development activities.
• Review system requirements, design, development, integration, test and delivery of OEM TPS products.
• Participate in SETR acquisition Program Milestone events including: SSR1, SRR2, PDR, ITIM, TRR, and PRR.
• Support the development of the TPS specifications and requirements and evaluate contractor TPS design / development activities.
• Analyze Electrical, Analog, Digital, RF, or E-O systems. Knowledge of RADAR and IFF systems is a plus.
• Support the technical review / approval of contractor hardware, software, and data end products.
• Review TPS Software developed in Abbreviated Test Language for All Systems (ATLAS), C++, and other TPS related programming Languages.
• Support TPS Testing Events and Physical Configuration Audit (PCA). Travel may be required to TPS Contractor's facility.
• Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM).
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: A bachelor’s degree in engineering (either Electrical/Electronic or Computer), or an applied science is required for Senior, Journeyman and Jr. Engineering positions. Technician positions require a high school diploma with technical training.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have a Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be willing to travel. Travel is minimal.
• Experience in ATE/OTPS required.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project is a plus.
