As a Financial Analyst - Level 5 (Staff) located in Redondo Beach, CA, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
Our Financial Analyst will prepare program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. You will monitor funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures and preparing expenditure projections. This role will continually assess and improve financial reporting processes to help enhance overall efficiency.
This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $146,300.00 - $219,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this job, you will:
- Performs economic research and studies subjects such as rates of return, depreciation, working capital, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by analysis of profit and loss statements and income statements
- Prepares reports of findings and recommendations for management
- Develops, maintains, and establishes operational specifications for financial information systems considering such things as information flow, volume, and document format for data processing equipment
- May provide analysis on business development and may monitor business performance by unit or division
- Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 12 years of professional experience - OR - Master's degree with 10 years of professional experience - OR - PhD with 8 years of professional experience
- Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree
No clearance required to start - Financial or accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace or Defense Industry experience
- Department of Defense (DoD) experience
- Experience working with SAP, Deltek CostPoint, Deltek Cobra/MPM or Oracle Primavera
Soft Skills:
- Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Have excellent problem solving and organizational skills
