Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, and Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU) has an exciting career opportunity for a Software Engineer - Level 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in Huntsville, AL.
Position Overview:
The Software Engineer will have the opportunity to contribute to the cornerstone of The Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) layered missile defense architecture and advance a 60+ year mission to defend our homeland. You'll develop systems engineering products that directly support the design and development of GWS (Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS)) capabilities on behalf of The Missile Defense Agency.
The selected candidate will be a part of the Test Exerciser (TEx) team within the System Performance and Analysis (SPA) product line and should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/teams comprised of all experience levels.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $109,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 Years Experience; 0 Years Experience with Masters or with PhD.
- Experience designing and/or implementing software with strongly typed languages such as C, C++, JAVA, or Python.
- Experience designing and/or implementing software using Object Oriented Programming.
- Experience applying critical thinking skills and capturing concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions.
- Applicants must be able to work on-site, in office
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at the time of application which is required to start.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing, implementing, and testing in C++.
- Experience or familiarity with the iTEx framework.
- Experience with in Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis as it relates to missile defense environments.
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket.
