You will be the Propulsion Performance Engineer - Level 4 for the Propulsion Team which is responsible for advancing propulsion system performance across aircraft, missiles, and power-plant programs.

You are a collaborative, results-driven professional with strong communication and presentation skills. You have deep experience in propulsion performance analysis, stress assessment, and system integration, and you enjoy mentoring junior team members while working closely with cross-functional Aeronautics disciplines and external propulsion partners.
Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or equivalent engineering discipline, equivalent experience and combined education considered
• Prior experience in gas turbine performance modeling and/or analysis
• Demonstrated understanding of thermodynamics and jet propulsion fundamentals
Desired Skills:
• Proficient in NPSS, Python, C++, or similar languages
• Matlab or Simulink software packages
• Experience interfacing with customers and suppliers
• Experience leading and interfacing with other functional teams
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and validating propulsion system models and performance predictions for new air-vehicle concepts.
- Analyzing aircraft/engine interfaces, identifying optimization opportunities, and assessing risk.
- Coordinating with aircraft design teams and engine manufacturers to define propulsion performance requirements.
- Mentoring junior engineers and leading technical reviews of propulsion analyses.
- Supporting program travel and on-site testing to verify installed propulsion performance.
