Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer to support a military customer in the Alexandria, VA area. This role involves research, design, development, testing, and sustainment of a wide range of military and commercial communications and electronic systems.
What You Will Be Doing
Responsibilities:
• Support the research, design, development, and testing of communications and electronic systems, including cellular (2G, 3G, LTE), VHF/UHF radio, satellite, and cryptographic technologies.
• Provide innovative technical solutions to complex challenges related to the testing, installation, and implementation of wireless, radio, cellular, and satellite communication systems.
• Conduct analysis, troubleshooting, diagnostics, testing, tuning, optimization, repair, and certification of communications equipment and systems.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic and test equipment, including digital multimeters, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, and signal generators.
• Work within an electronics maintenance and repair facility using advanced RF test systems and industry-standard cellular emulation tools.
• Assist in developing and improving maintenance and repair processes in accordance with military policies and procedures.
• Provide training to customer personnel to enhance field service and repair capabilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams, Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, and other federal agencies; attend technical and program meetings as required.
• Work independently or as part of a team to develop innovative approaches to complex technical problems.
• Ensure proper documentation and completion of maintenance forms in compliance with customer requirements.
Additional Requirements:
• Position is on-site with the supported military customer.
• Ability to travel within the continental United States for extended periods (up to 45 days at a time).

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the field of electronic and communications equipment troubleshooting and repair.
Must have a working knowledge of commercial telecommunications equipment, to include; radio, cellular, satellite, Inmarsat, spread spectrum, digital cellular, antennas, navigation equipment and cryptologic equipment.
Final Top Secret Security clearance and eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Desired skills are additional skills that are nice to have and help narrow down a qualified candidate pool.

Experience operating CMW500 suite of test equipment. Cellular network BTS testing equipment/processes. Mastery of RF system termination to include soldering, antenna/RF cable fabrication.
