Description:The manager of the classified IT product orchestration and deployment team drives development feature priorities with our IT orchestration platform and is responsible for the deployment of complex and highly integrated software across multiple air gapped and classified networks for Lockheed Martin Space. Reporting to senior leadership, this role leads a multidisciplinary team and provides technical strategy and vision, priority management, and mentorship / career development to achieve the goals of 1LMX transformation adoption. This role manages two distinct teams and scope. The development team plans features and executes an agile framework to release versions on a quarterly basis. The rapid deployment team jumps between IT environments to deploy software, integrate with infrastructure and existing tools, and problem solves issues getting a product to an initial operating capability (IOC).
Key Responsibilities:
• People Leadership & Operational Maturity - building high-performing teams through mentorship, performance management, and continuous improvement practices. Establish KPIs, operational SLAs, and metrics-driven decision frameworks to scale delivery across multiple environments.
• Technical Leadership in Orchestration & Automation Platforms - Leading team members developing and maintaining IT orchestration, automation, or infrastructure management platforms (e.g., workflow engines, CI/CD systems, configuration management, or infrastructure-as-code). Deep understanding of distributed systems, API integrations, and secure service-to-service communication.
• Software Deployment Across Segmented / Air-Gapped Networks - Plan, design, and execute software deployment across isolated, classified, or otherwise segmented network environments. Coach team members through rapid problem solving of technical issues encountered during deployments.
• DevSecOps & SDLC Governance - Oversee SDLC practices including CI/CD pipelines, version control, automated testing, code quality enforcement, vulnerability scanning, and release governance. Promote and embed DevSecOps principles into both development and deployment functions while maintaining auditability and compliance.
• Cross-Functional Program & Stakeholder Management - Experience coordinating across engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and program stakeholders. Bring stakeholders together to translate business and mission requirements into technical objectives, managing competing priorities, and ensuring delivery within cost, schedule, and risk constraints.
This is an Onsite role, and can be located at either our Littleton, CO or King of Prussia, PA secure facilities. Some travel will be required.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in IT Technical discipline
• Top-Secret clearance.
• 6-8 years' experience in software development, distributed control systems, automation frameworks, and infrastructure architecture integration.
• Experience deploying systems and software out to networks and integrating into existing systems.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, using data-driven decision making and developing effective mitigation strategies.
• High ethical standards and commitment to Lockheed Martin's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct.
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in IT Technical discipline and related certifications.
• Proven ability and experience managing IT technical work in classified environments.
• Experience with Ansible, OpenShift, PagerDuty Runbook Automation, GetLab CI/CD, and Kubernetes (K8s).
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, selecting, and hiring staff; conducting performance assessments; assigning work assignments; managing salary and compensation actions; and overseeing recognition and disciplinary processes.
• Effectively managing a remote and geographically distributed workforce.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
