Job Description

Overview

As a SharePoint Technical Lead, you will work with our growing DevSecOps practice as a technical team lead delivering enterprise collaboration and business solutions using SharePoint, Power Platform, APIs, and cloud-enabled technologies. We are seeking candidates with experience leading cross-functional technical teams and delivering solutions from requirements through design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.

This role combines technical leadership, client engagement, and hands-on solution delivery. The SharePoint Technical Lead will guide development efforts, support engineering best practices, and help ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with client and program needs.

Contributions

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the technical delivery lead, accountable for completion of team delivery efforts including quality oversight and client acceptance
  • Build and maintain client relationships, providing technical guidance and supporting delivery of high-quality solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, including oversight of development practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing
  • Design, develop, and deploy SharePoint and Power Platform solutions that support collaboration, workflow automation, and business process improvement
  • Develop and maintain custom functionality using SharePoint Online, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps, Power Automate, and related Microsoft 365 services
  • Support configuration and administration of SharePoint environments including sites, libraries, lists, permissions, metadata, and governance practices
  • Integrate SharePoint and Power Platform solutions with enterprise systems, APIs, and cloud services
  • Troubleshoot software quality, security, reliability, and performance issues and support root cause analysis and resolution
  • Participate in code reviews and quality assurance activities to ensure adherence to standards and best practices
  • Support production releases including deployment, troubleshooting, and validation
  • Document software code, solution features, operational procedures, and technical standards
  • Document the current state of the environment, perform gap analysis, and produce recommendations for improvements and modernization
  • Foster innovative thinking and continuous improvement across the client environment
  • Assist in sales and technical strategy activities beyond the current program
  • Present regular status updates and provide cross-training to other team members


Qualifications

Required:
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
  • BS degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years of related IT experience
  • 10+ years of software development experience, to include 8+ years of experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 solution development
  • Proven experience leading the deployment of enterprise and custom software solutions in client environments
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to write clear and accurate technical and end user documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and consult while providing thought leadership to sponsors and stakeholders in solving governance, program/project management, business process, and technical problems
  • Proven experience supporting growth activities while delivering
  • Experience developing and configuring solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Apps, and Power Automate
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and API-based integrations
  • 8+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  • 5+ years of experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Pipelines, CircleCI, or TravisCI
  • Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including unit testing
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 governance, permissions, and collaboration platform best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills


Nice to Have:

  • Microsoft certifications related to SharePoint, Power Platform, or Microsoft 365
  • Local to Washington, DC metro area and available to go onsite 3 days a week
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Experience working in Agile and DevSecOps environments
  • Experience with Power BI or related reporting and dashboarding tools
  • Experience with Docker containers and platforms such as Kubernetes
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks and deliver results with aggressive timelines
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision

The projected compensation range for this position is $130,000 to $185,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
