Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to lead the sustainment of Electronic Warfare Planning Management Tool (EWPMT) legacy system known as EWPMT V1. Sustainment activities include keeping EWPMT V1 relevant by engaging with stakeholders to align requirements, assessing integration dependencies with new sensors and C2 systems, and prioritizing cyber vulnerability efforts using agile SW processes. The Systems Engineer should possess in-depth knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW), RF Engineering, Fires Systems, and overarching EW systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as the EWPMT V1 Lead to oversee internal/external developer teams within an Agile development process to guide development and design choices, balancing user needs and program constraints.
- Translate stakeholder, to include Transformation in Contact (TiC) units, requirements into actionable goals and system requirements necessary to keep EWPMT V1 relevant in its sustainment phase.
- Analyze and manage system-level and software-level requirements and interfaces.
- Perform requirements analysis and definition, as well as allocation, decomposition and traceability.
- Conduct software architecture decomposition.
- Support vendor's development and review of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models.
- Collaborate across multi-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving use cases and threads.
- Develop presentations for support activities and/or higher headquarters to summarize results of actions against predetermined plans, status or plans, progress, deficiencies, and outstanding accomplishments.
- Debugs and corrects system level problems and issues in conjunction with vendors.
- Responsible for collaborating with other government agencies and contractors.
- Represent program manager in technical and programmatic exchanges to refine concepts, use cases, and system requirements for EWPMT V1 relevancy and sustainment.
- Review and provide input to reviews and presentations material .
Requirements
- Active Secret DoD Clearance
- Knowledge of domain specific EW principles, fires systems, and mission command systems, as related to interconnectivity, multi-domain operations, and technology advancements for today's warfighter.
- 7+ years of experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or related technical disciplines.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) systems, Radio Frequency (RF) systems, or SIGINT systems. - Prior experience supporting DoD programs,
- Experienced with Agile software development environments, and multi‑vendor teams
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, system-level and software-level interface analysis, and architecture development.
- Experience working with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and reviewing vendor-developed MBSE models.
- Ability to debug and resolve system-level technical issues in coordination with internal and external development teams.
- Familiarity with Agile development frameworks and leading teams through iterative design and development cycles.
- Experience with software architecture decomposition and identifying opportunities to improve system use cases and operational threads.
- Proven ability to lead technical efforts, coordinate multi-functional teams, and guide development priorities based on user needs and program constraints.
- Experience collaborating with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholder communities, including operational units such as Transformation in Contact (TiC) organizations.
- Ability to represent program leadership in technical, programmatic, and requirements refinement discussions.
- Strong ability to translate stakeholders needs to actionable system requirements and sustainment objectives.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across diverse organizations and development teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to evolving program needs and constraints.
Preferred:
- 10+ years of experience with EW systems, Radio Frequency (RF) systems, or SIGINT systems.
- MS or Ph.D. preferred in systems engineering, software engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, physics, or similar field.
