• You will inspect dimensions of machined parts and castings to ensure compliance with drawing requirements.
• You will ensure that proper Level I, NDT and Inspection/test markings are legible, in order, and in accordance with requirements unless otherwise specified.
• You will verify that the material agrees with applicable drawing or if not acceptable technical documents are involked authorizing substitution.
• You will ensure that the general configuration is in accordance with specified drawings and requirements.
• You will ensure that all inner and outer surfaces are free of dirt, chips, scale and other foreign substances.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

• Ability to work from technical documentation and drawings to design, manufacture and/or repair new or existing components, fixtures, and tooling through the safe operation of various manufacturing processes and equipment;
• Ability solving problems and overcoming roadblocks individually and in collaboration with engineering personnel, especially relating to custom tooling design and function or the manufacture;
• Ability designing and/or manufacturing components from various types of materials, using a range of manufacturing methods;
• Ability using geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), blueprint reading, and the use of precision measuring equipment;
• Ability to demonstrate a capacity for effective oral and written communication, effective work-management with multiple, competing priorities, and a willingness to take on new challenges, both individually and as part of a team.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

This position requires exposure to high noise levels.
