- You will record quantitative noise and vibration data, using complex sensing, measuring, recording and analysis instrumentation.
- You will solve noise and vibrations reduction problems on submarines and all types of surface vessels, analyzing and evaluating results, and preparing reports and findings.
- You will conduct vibration surveys on overhauled shop tests, plan and organize survey techniques, and modify instrumentation as necessary.
- You will write technical memoranda and test specifications for accomplishment of work.
- You will evaluate noise critical machinery and determine necessary work for accomplishment of their overhaul.
- You will prepare material list, technical specifications and material requests for purchase of special materials and/or equipment required.

Qualifications

- Experience evaluating and applying the latest developments and techniques in solving unique problems by recording quantitative noise and vibration data.
- Experience identifying, evaluating and recommending appropriate solutions to resolve complex interrelated problems and issues.
- Experience applying analytical and diagnostic techniques, qualitative and quantitative techniques, techniques for developing new or modified work methods, approaches, or procedures.
- Experience formulating and presenting findings, briefings, status reports and correspondence.
- Experience providing comprehensive management advisory and technical services.
