JOMIS Deployment Contractor Lead
Location: Remote
Function: Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) / Defense Healthcare Medical Systems (DHMS)
Reports To: Deployment Program Manager
Overview
We are seeking a JOMIS Deployment Contractor Lead to support the rollout of operational medical systems across the Department of Defense. This role is responsible for coordinating large-scale deployments across multiple military services, ensuring systems are delivered, adopted, and sustained in operational environments.
You will work closely with Government leadership, Service Deployment Leads, and enterprise IT stakeholders (including J6) to drive alignment, execution, and mission success.

This role is responsible for coordinating large-scale deployments across multiple military services, ensuring systems are delivered, adopted, and sustained in operational environments.
You will work closely with Government leadership, Service Deployment Leads, and enterprise IT stakeholders (including J6) to drive alignment, execution, and mission success.
Key Responsibilities
Deployment Strategy & Coordination
- Serve as the primary contractor counterpart to Government Deployment Leadership
- Align on enterprise-wide deployment strategy, sequencing, and prioritization
- Lead cross-service planning sessions and deployment huddles
- Ensure consistency across Service Deployment Leads and execution timelines
- Engage senior Government and enterprise stakeholders across Services
- Coordinate with enterprise IT organizations (e.g., J6) for readiness and integration
- Provide oversight and guidance to Service-level deployment teams
- Maintain and manage the integrated master schedule
- Track dependencies, risks, and deployment progress across teams
- Ensure site readiness, approvals, and coordination prior to deployment
- Support execution of deployment events and transition to operational use
- Prepare weekly status updates and executive-level briefings
- Drive accountability across deployment activities
- Support leadership with planning materials and program insights
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Escalate issues requiring leadership attention
- Provide quality assurance across deployment activities
- 10+ years of experience in software deployment, system implementation, or program delivery
- Experience supporting end-to-end deployments (planning through sustainment)
- Strong experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Background supporting DoD, federal, or defense-related programs (preferred)
- Proven ability to coordinate across:
- Government and contractor teams
- Technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Enterprise IT organizations (e.g., J6, network operations)
- Degree in:
- Healthcare Administration
- Business Administration
- Health Informatics
- Information Systems / Computer Science
- Or related field
- Advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
- Strong program and project management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and complex schedules
- Excellent written and verbal communication (executive briefings, reporting)
- Strong stakeholder management across government and military environments
- Proactive risk identification and escalation
- High sense of urgency and adaptability in dynamic environments
