Job Description
T-Rex Solutions is seeking a Software Deployment Lead to support the rollout of operational medical systems across the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) portfolio of Defense Health Agency (DHA). This role works closely with the Government Deployment Lead, Deployment Program Manager, Service Deployment Leads, Combatant Command Deployment Leads to coordinate and execute deployments of systems used by operational medical teams across the Services.
The role focuses on coordinating deployment activities, preparing sites and stakeholders for deployment and operational use, and ensuring that systems are successfully delivered, adopted, and sustained in operational environments. The Deployment Contractor Lead works across product teams, Service stakeholders, enterprise IT organizations (such as J6), and program leadership to manage schedules, track risks, and ensure deployments remain aligned with program priorities.
This position supports deployments of operational medical capabilities used in field and deployed settings, including initiatives supporting systems such as operational medical data platforms, theater medical systems, and other JOMIS-supported tools used by the operational medical community.

T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Responsibilities:
- Deployment Strategy and Coordination
- Serve as the primary contractor counterpart to Government Deployment Leadership, aligning on enterprise-wide deployment strategy, sequencing, and prioritization across Services
- Coordinate across Deployment Leads through regular deployment huddles and planning sessions to ensure consistent communication, milestone tracking, and execution
- Orchestrate and integrate deployment activities across all Service Deployment Leads to ensure consistency in approach, dependencies, and execution
- Lead cross-service planning forums (e.g., deployment huddles, integrated planning sessions) to resolve conflicts, align timelines, and drive coordinated execution
- Oversee validation of Service requirements, ensuring consistency, completeness, and alignment to enterprise constraints and priorities
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with senior Government and enterprise stakeholders to align cross-service priorities, tradeoffs, and deployment sequencing
- Provide oversight and guidance to Service Deployment Leads in their engagement with Service-level stakeholders
- Coordinate with enterprise IT organizations (e.g., J6) to ensure enterprise-level readiness, integration, and issue resolution across Services
- Deployment Planning and Execution
- Maintain the integrated master schedule, track dependencies, and monitor deployment progress across teams
- Ensure sites are prepared for deployment by tracking approvals, technical readiness, and cross-team coordination
- Coordinate and support execution of deployment events and ensure systems are successfully introduced, adopted, and stabilized within operational environments
- Reporting and Program Governance
- Prepare weekly deployment status updates, executive readouts, and planning materials to support program leadership
- Ensure clear ownership of deployment activities and drive accountability across teams to support successful execution
- Risk Management
- Identify risks across deployment activities and develop mitigation options
- Escalate issues, blockers, or decisions that require leadership engagement
- Provide informal quality assurance across deployment activities to ensure consistent execution
- 10+ years supporting or leading software deployments, system implementation, or program delivery in complex operational or enterprise environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting end-to-end deployments including planning, coordination, execution, and sustainment. Experience in product/system deployments beneficial.
- Experience working with military organizations, defense civilians, or federal programs is strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating, communicating, and planning across multiple stakeholder groups (Service, Civilian, Contractor; Technical and non-Technical; J6 and / or Theater Network Operations)
- Strong program and project management skills, including managing competing priorities, schedules, and dependencies
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of leadership briefings and status reports
- Ability to coordinate across multiple teams and organizations to maintain deployment alignment and execution
