Cyber Security Analyst
Clearance Level: Must have a Secret Clearance to be considered - Must be US Citizen

Aquila Technology is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Analyst t o join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The team is in need of a Cyber Security Analyst who will augment the existing staff in managing and operating the tools specific to the HS CSOC. Candidate will maintain and operate ACAS, ESS, Splunk and other CSOC tools specific to the classified environment. These tools require specific accreditation and training from the government and have specific and extensive domain knowledge about operations within a classified government network.

Aquila Technology will reimburse team members who work from home ONLY for cell phone/mobile device fees for work-related communications and/or operations each month. Employees eligible for this benefit must work remote 2 days a week or more to qualify.
Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) -Team members are eligible for reimbursement of up to $1,500 every three (3) years for the purchase of electronic equipment used to access corporate services. To qualify for this benefit, employees must have completed a minimum of six (6) months of employment and must agree to and sign the Device Minimum Configuration Form prior to reimbursement. Electronic devices eligible under the Buy Your Own Device (BYOD) program are limited to cell phones, laptops, and tablets.
Clearance: Active clearance is required. Please do not apply if you don't have an Active Secret clearance or higher. Must be US Citizen to be considered
Location:This position will be 100% onsite due to the nature of the work. There may be some remote flexibility on a case by case basis but there are no regular remote days.

- 1 years - Threat Remediation (review, interpret and translate data)
- 1 years - Vulnerability Detection and Mitigation (ACAS or ESS)
- 2 years - Python and Bash scripting
- 2 years - Linux and Windows operating systems
- 2 years - Linux and Windows server management
- 2 years - Operating system diagnostics, network design and troubleshooting

Must Haves:
- Technical knowledge and 2 yrs experience in Linux and Windows operating systems; preferably a BS in an IT related field of study, or equivalent
- Scripting knowledge and 2 yrs experience in languages such as Python and Bash
- Technical skills in Linux and Windows server management
- Strong familiarity with operating system diagnostics, network design and troubleshooting, and how to diagnose security controls and logs for evidence and indicators of compromise.
- Good understanding of vulnerabilities, how vulnerabilities are detected and mitigated, how to rate the risk associated with an emerging vulnerability (training in ACAS or ESS.)
- Basic threat management and how to do research across multiple sources to correlate and provide accurate scope to identify, contain, eradicate and recover from a security incident.
- Security+ certification or higher with the demonstrated ability to achieve ongoing educational training to maintain currency.
- Ability to work and communicate with members of other teams and staff to achieve department and organizational goals
- Excellent communication (both oral and writing) and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service skills and exceptional customer facing skills
Nice to Have:
- Prefer skills in Splunk or SOC operations as well as familiarity with DoD regulations, like STIGs and the operational processes that support them.
- Understanding of classified Cloud or DevSecOps tools, processes, and infrastructure strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Splunk, vulnerability scanning and remediation, and endpoint security protection
- Familiarity and knowledge of containers, container security and DevSecOps.
- Ability to review, interpret and translate data as it relates to threat remediation
- Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
- The ability to think critically and innovatively about the security solutions that can keep data safe while still allowing a business to flourish
- Perform in a fast-paced environment at times with minimal supervision and execute project and administrative tasks with a high degree of quality, while following existing processes and establishing new operational procedures and best practices along with handling multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize and meet deadlines
