Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Associate in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site policies, and assist with access control activities.
• Support site personnel during routine operations, drills, and/or special situations while maintaining awareness of location protocols and reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
