The Work
The Technical Project Manager oversees, directs, and coordinates all aspects of technology-driven project initiatives. This critical role ensures the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects within scope, schedule, and budget, while maintaining compliance with organizational and contract requirements. The Technical Project Manager acts as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including internal teams, government customers, and external vendors, facilitating effective communication, risk management, and resource allocation.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for overseeing the end-to-end project lifecycle of moderate to complex business solutions, including project planning, coordination of stakeholders, requirements elicitation, business analysis, development of technical specifications, ongoing project monitoring, status reporting, and successful system implementation.
- Provides critical support to the Technical Project Manager on data engineering initiatives within an AI adoption program. This role includes managing cross-functional collaboration, tracking and reporting on deliverables, facilitating platform and data engineering activities, and ensuring cohesive alignment among business, engineering, and AI-focused stakeholders. Demonstrated knowledge of cloud computing platforms, data pipeline architectures, and artificial intelligence/machine learning integration is highly preferred.

Qualifications
Here's What You Need
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading technical projects or programs in data, analytics, and cloud environments.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading data architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing initiatives from planning through delivery.
- At least 10 years of demonstrated ability to manage business intelligence, big data, and analytics projects in complex enterprise environments.
- 10 years of experience supporting healthcare data initiatives; familiarity with standards such as FHIR, CCDA, and HL7 is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of SQL and database technologies with at least 10 years' experience supporting project planning, estimation, and issue resolution.
- Strong communication skills with a minimum of 10 years' experience translating complex technical concepts for business and executive audiences.
- Proven leadership ability with 10 years' experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, and complex project timelines.
- Strong collaboration skills developed over 10 or more years working effectively with data engineers, developers, analysts, and business partners.
- 10 years of experience defining project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics.
- Significant experience (10+ years) with project budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial status reporting.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet, with a minimum of 10 years' experience.
- Strong documentation skills with 10 years of experience developing project plans, charters, schedules, and lessons learned.
- Minimum of 10 years of required working knowledge of cloud platforms, data systems, or enterprise applications.
- Minimum of 10 years of required proactive leadership style with strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Must be able to pass a background check. May require additional background checks as required by projects and/or clients at any time during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 8 years of preferred experience in healthcare or other regulated environments, encompassing compliance, security, and data governance concepts.
- 8 years of experience with preferred project management certifications (PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or comparable).
- 8 years of preferred experience in the healthcare industry.
- 8 years of preferred foundational understanding of information management principles, IT processes, software development lifecycle (SDLC), architecture, and enterprise technologies.
- 8 years of preferred experience demonstrating strong consulting and facilitation skills.
- 8 years of preferred, customer-focused communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage all levels of the organization.
- 8 years of preferred proactive leadership style with meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- At least 3 years of preferred experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, or digital transformation initiatives at the program or project level.
- 3 years of preferred experience with TOGAF, Cloud Solution Architecture, or major cloud certifications such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
