Program Overview
About The Role
Peraton is seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering, application development, deployment, operations, upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our client's global missions.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate and lead the Agile Release Train (ART) process and execution.
- Coordinate multiple Agile teams, ensuring alignment with SAFe practices.
- Facilitate and drive key ART events to include program increment (PI) planning, resolution and escalation of impediments, management of risks and program-level continuous improvement.
- Provide Engineering release train functional support to Operations and Maintenance (O&M), legacy application/system mission capability enhancements, infrastructure, security, web applications, metrics, compliance-related audit, Service/Help Desk, procurement of hardware and software, and Disaster Recovery (DR).
- Manage Enhancements to include bugfixes, improving the capabilities of and adding new functions to a legacy application.
- Provide Agile systems support combining/aligning software, DEV/OPS, sustainment, and operations along with their product owners, products and deliverables.
- Organize engineering activities to support current and future tasks and identify risks and dependencies.
- Help the team communicate and coordinate to deliver work items, perform daily backlog refinement and facilitate team events.
- Assist Product owners in preparing and refining the backlog for Program iteration. increment planning and conduct backlog grooming with the team.
- Coordinate with the Product owner and stakeholders to mitigate risks, management dependencies, and address issues.
- Ensure alignment, transparency and execution throughout the lifecycle of program increments.
- Collect metrics and feedback for the sake of improvement and issue resolution.
- Coach leaders, teams, and SCRUM Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets, fostering a collaborative and transparent environment.
- Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.

Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with an active polygraph or ability to obtain a polygraph.
- Minimum of 12 years of work experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Familiarity/Experience in both development and sustainment.
- Defining, developing, and documenting operational support concepts leading to development and implementation of requirements, specifications, and design plans.
- Familiarity/Experience with Agile project management.
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance.
- Preferably with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a SAFe Release Train Engineer or similar is a plus.
