Overview
As a Business Analyst you will lead the collection, capture, and management of mission user needs from prioritization and concept development through feature definition and documentation, supporting development and deployment efforts. You will provide expertise in business process and system analysis, design, improvement, and implementation, translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
This role may also provide expertise in change management and training support, as well as organizational and strategic planning for a wide variety of technical and functional environments. Areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, Configuration Management, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management, Business Analysis and Technical Analysis.

Contributions
- Envision, develop, and define requirements to improve tools and streamline processes, driving efficiencies and improving key metrics.
- Apply a variety of techniques to facilitate meetings and workshops, create shared understanding with stakeholders, and engage team members to produce product and portfolio roadmaps.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and product teams to decompose large epics into features and user stories that can be understood, refined, and approved by development teams.
- Facilitate increment and planning sessions with clients and team members to ensure planned work is well defined, articulated, and understood.
- Assist team leads, clients, and other team members in using Agile lifecycle management tools to track work across multiple product teams.
- Provide guidance and assistance in using Agile lifecycle management tools for reporting work progress against epics and other bodies of work.
- Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and present findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience functioning as a Business Analyst
- Masters and 1 year of experience functioning as a Business Analyst
- No degree and 8 years of experience functioning as a Business Analyst
- Experience guiding teams through user story creation, dependency mapping, and optimal solution design
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and minimal supervision
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to support both technical and non-technical audiences in geographically dispersed environments (Teams, face-to-face)
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and analysis
- Proactive approach to recommending process improvements and demonstrating creative thinking
- Knowledge of and experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with an ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Master certification, or equivalent agile credential
