Job Description

Performs functions of a qualified IT/Cyber Analyst, providing mission support for multiple Force Protection Systems (FPS) Family of Systems (FOS) on the IBD-SS program, supporting the Warfighter. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining system compliance, ensuring Information Assurance (IA) requirements are met, and providing technical and administrative support for software (SW) and systems. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate, document, and troubleshoot systems and software for adherence to configurations and compliance standards.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Interprets, analyzes, and reports all events and anomalies in accordance with computer network directives, including identifying patterns indicative of broader system interactions

  • Experience working with systems that have mission, bandwidth, environmental, or security constraints, and ability to explain how those constraints affected decision making

  • Ability to describe how cybersecurity plans, controls, processes, standards, policies, and procedures are aligned with cybersecurity standards

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide solutions to end users effectively.

  • Develop and follow established procedures to install software and maintain systems.

  • Perform system administration tasks ensuring compliance with DISA (Defense Information Systems Agency) security policies and procedures.

  • Troubleshoot system and software issues, identifying root causes that may span multiple system components and providing technical support and solutions to end users.


Role requirements:

  • Track software license requirements to ensure timely renewal and compliance with contractual obligations. • Analyze and evaluate systems and software to ensure compliance with established configurations and IA standards and to understand how configuration changes influence overall system performance. • Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews of specifications and deliverables, ensuring compliance with requirements, both for internal and external delivery. • Develop, prepare, and update documentation for all process functions, ensuring accuracy and consistency. • Track and manage software issues and bugs, ensuring proper resolution through established tracking processes. • Ensure systems and software meet Information Assurance (IA) compliance requirements through proper review and validation. • Conduct software composition analysis to identify vulnerabilities and ensure software integrity. • Maintain SW/FW Use Matrix (Software/Firmware Use Matrix) to track approved versions and ensure authorized usage across systems with attention to cross-system version dependencies and authorized usage across platforms. • Provide support for Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities, including reviewing and documenting changes to systems and software. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify compliance gaps, propose corrective actions, and ensure successful implementation of solutions. • Experience managing system and software installations while maintaining established configuration and compliance standards. • Knowledge of IA compliance requirements (e.g., DISA STIGs, NIST 800-53 controls) and their application to systems and software. • Familiarity with software license tracking and management. • Experience conducting QA reviews of technical specifications and deliverables. • Ability to maintain and update documentation for process functions related to IT and IA. • Familiarity with Configuration Control Board (CCB) processes and collaboration with stakeholders. • Experience with system administration specific to DISA compliance. • Strong understanding of change management principles and their application within technical environments. • Exceptional organizational skills for records and documentation management. • Strong coordination and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams


Qualifications

  • BS/BA in related field. Four (4) years of additional relevant experience man be considered in lieu of the degree

  • Must have 5years' experience with the Army IA process including the application of STIGs and supporting / implementing the A&A process or 9 years without a qualifying degree.

  • Must possess and active DoD SECRET clearance

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS as determined by mission requirements.
