Synertex LLC is seeking a highly experienced Project Officer to support the Joint Service Small Arms Program (JSSAP) within the Maneuver Functional Capabilities Division (M-FCD). This role requires deep expertise in Army acquisition, small arms systems, and joint lethality requirements development.

Synertex LLC is seeking a highly experienced Project Officer to support the Joint Service Small Arms Program (JSSAP) within the Maneuver Functional Capabilities Division (M-FCD). This role requires deep expertise in Army acquisition, small arms systems, and joint lethality requirements development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as Project Officer supporting JSSAP and Maneuver Functional Capabilities Division (M-FCD) initiatives
- Support development, integration, and management of small arms capability requirements across the Joint Force
- Coordinate with Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and SOCOM stakeholders on small arms programs
- Lead and support lethality requirements development activities and associated programmatic efforts
- Prepare and deliver briefings, information papers, memorandums, and white papers for senior Army and Joint leadership
- Support analysis and integration of capability requirements aligned to Soldier Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs) and Capability Based Assessments (CBAs)
- Provide expertise in Science & Technology (S&T) funding processes, budget categories, and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)
- Support DOTMLPF analysis and documentation development, including CBAs, ICDs, AoAs, DCRs, CDDs, and updates
- Coordinate across key organizations including MCoE, HQ AFC FCC, HQ T2COM, PM Soldier Lethality organizations, DA Staff, Joint Services, and industry partners
- Support preparation of AROC and JROC briefings and responses to information requests
- Contribute to Army Concept Strategy, Campaign of Learning, and Force Development Update (FDU) processes
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Secret clearance (interim clearance not acceptable)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Minimum 15 years of Army Acquisition experience
- Minimum 10 years of active-duty Army Acquisition experience at the O-5 (LTC) level or equivalent senior civilian acquisition experience
- Minimum 10 years of small arms acquisition experience, including management or oversight of lethality requirements development
- Minimum 5 years of Joint Service small arms experience across two or more Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or SOCOM)
- Demonstrated knowledge of small arms capabilities, tasks, standards, and priority gaps aligned to Soldier ICD and CBA
- Working knowledge of Army formations, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and employment of small arms systems
- Experience with S&T funding processes, budget categories, and Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)
- Experience with DOTMLPF processes and documentation (CBAs, ICDs, AoAs, DCRs, CDDs, and updates)
- Experience preparing and presenting AROC and JROC briefings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including Army-style documentation and briefings
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across Army organizations, Joint stakeholders, and industry partners
- Familiarity with Army Concept Strategy, Campaign Plans (CCPs), and Force Development processes
