PE Systems, Inc. has a great opportunity for a Technical Clothing Design Support - PR 1359 in the Combat Readiness Division/Air Force Uniform Office at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. General Function: .
  • The Contractor must assist the USG in preparing test reports after each test is completed.
  • Interim test reports are required within 10 days following the conclusion of testing.
  • Interim reports must include key test information, though not limited to specified elements.
  • Final test reports must be delivered within 30 days after test completion.
  • Final reports must include a comprehensive analysis of all collected test data.
  • Both interim and final reports are governed by CDRL A010 requirements.
  • The Contractor must support all phases of the uniform and equipment lifecycle.
  • Lifecycle support spans from initial concept development through final phase-out.
  • Responsibilities include development and sustainment of dress, utility, and functional clothing.
  • Tasks include concept development, prototyping, and pattern development and grading.
  • The Contractor must assist in selecting materials and components for uniform items.
  • Support includes conducting field testing, analyzing data, and producing reports.
  • The Contractor must help develop inspection plans and define acceptance criteria.
  • Inspection criteria apply to prototypes, samples, test articles, and production items.
  • The Contractor must conduct product inspections using established plans (CDRL A009).
  • Field test support includes planning and executing operational assessments of uniform items.
  • Activities include fit assessments, wear tests, utility evaluations, and qualification testing.
  • The Contractor must develop complete pattern sets and design drawings for TDP integration.
  • Technical specifications must be created to convey engineering and production requirements.
  • The Contractor must document inspection results, maintain fit feedback records, and use industry-standard tools (software, photos, sketches) to communicate with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • MA/MS Degree with 10 years of directly related experience or BA/BS with 12 years of directly related
    experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
  • Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
