Sentar is seeking a Software Engineer in Huntsville!

Role Description:

• Applies science and/or engineering techniques to develop economical solutions to technical problems.
• Specifies functional requirements, designs computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems.
• Design and develop advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and program in high order languages.

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Secret

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree of science in engineering or scientific field of study from an accredited college or university.

Experience:

• A relevant master’s degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two years of relevant work experience.
• A relevant PHD degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university may be substituted for three years of relevant work experience.

Software Engineer - Mid:

• Shall have four (4) years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases (flat-file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems.
• In addition must have two (2) years’ experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages.

Software Engineer - Senior:

• Shall have ten (10) years of progressively complex experience in computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases, high-order programming languages, and operating systems.
• In addition must have four (4) years’ experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages.

Experience with:

• Unix/Ultrix, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/CMS, Harris VOS
• C, C++, ADA, FORTRAN
• Gitlab: integration and migration
• JIRA
