  • Ensure compliance with DoW and Navy security standards (STIGs, RMF, CNSSI 1253).
  • Collaborate with other teams, including security, network, and application development, to ensure the successful operation of the VHE platform.
  • Support the adoption of agile practices within the VHE development teams, ensuring alignment with the overall agile implementation roadmap.
  • Lead the deployment and management of elasticsearch enterprise clusters and its ecosystem, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for deploying IT service infrastructure, including networking, storage, and compute resources
  • Plan, develop, and execute migration strategies to enterprise platforms in alignment with portfolio management.
  • Experience in architecting and designing cloud infrastructure enclaves to support hybrid cloud models with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Support corporate business development initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, architecture design, and DevSecOps.
  • Experience designing and deploying high-availability infrastructure using cloud native services (Azure/AWS/GCP) to support distributed, auto-scaling application
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (VMware, KubeVirt/KVM).
  • Deep expertise in networking principles and protocols, including VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible (Git/Gitlab, Argo CD).
  • Proven deep understanding and experience of Elastic Enterprise cluster architecture (nodes, shards, replicas), cluster sizing, capacity planning, performance tuning, and an understanding of Elasticsearch indexing and search mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of Elasticsearch APIs (RESTful API, Java API).
  • Extensive experience implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab CI/CD, Argo CD and Tekton.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements (DoW STIGs, RMF).
  • Experience with containerization technologies and container orchestration (Containerization: Containerization (Docker), Container Orchestration (OpenShift, Rancher, Kubernetes), Container Security, DevSecOps), and service mesh (Istio).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
