MEG is a leading provider of Information Management system engineering, software development, information assurance, system sustainment and is the primary provider of technical support for the Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS) Enterprise. IBS is the worldwide Department of Defense (DoD) joint program for transporting intelligence, surveillance & reconnaissance (ISR) and targeting data to all levels of tactical and strategic operational users.

IBS provides global, 24/7, dissemination of time sensitive Indications & Warning and Force Protection data to Joint Warfighters and Collaborating Nation partners conducting military operations around the world. MEG serves a vital role in supporting the IBS Enterprise, providing continuity in skills crucial to support military operations. MEG integrates the talents and skills of team members to form an IBS Enterprise Support Services Team to provide world-class IBS customer support.

The Installation Engineer will provide planning, implementation, and documentation support for installation of associated systems in the IBS Enterprise. The Installation Engineer provides will complete site surveys and install hardware at directed locations. The Installation Engineer will conduct tests as well as exercises to ensure capabilities are persistent and obtainable by the user community and stakeholders. The Installation Engineer will prepare materials in accordance with A030 Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plans DI-MGMT-80033A/T. Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide system admin related solutions support for the DME project and operational needs.
• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Install and configure systems in support of DME infrastructure applications or Asset Management applications.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Be prepared to support DME operations during after duty hours; responding within 2 hours of notification at the facility, if necessary.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years' experience maintaining systems and hardware in Windows Server environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Security+ CE
• Security Clearance: Secret
• A strong sense of responsibility and initiative
• Ability to manage priorities, exercise independent judgment, and work with minimal supervision is required

Desired Qualifications:

• Up to date understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
• Security Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility
• Current Cisco Certified Network Associate
• Experience in developing systems architectures and optimizing for performance enhancements
• Experience in training and briefing, with an emphasis on explaining complex technical processes to senior leaders
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Security+, CISCO IOS, CISP, ISSM
